CMS has been providing Work Opportunity Tax Credit screening services for over 20 years. We have helped save employers millions of dollars that can be reinvested back into their businesses. We highly encourage customers to take advantage of the online WOTC screening form that we developed or the call center, both of which provide several benefits to you.
New hires who fall under one or more of WOTC’s Target Groups may make you eligible for a WOTC Tax Credit. Target Group #1 is the Qualified IV-A Recipient. This is an individual who is a member of a family receiving assistance under a state plan approved under part A of title IV of the Social Security Act relating to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). The assistance must be received for any 9-month period during the 18-month period ending on the hiring date.
In 2018 the state of Texas issued 207,513 Work Opportunity Tax Credit certifications. Nationwide Texas issued 9.41% of WOTC Tax Credits in 2018. Texas was first in the nation issuing the most WOTC tax credits in the SNAP, Veterans, Ex-Felons, Designated Community Resident, and Summer Youth categories. Texas also received the second most requests and issued the most tax credits.
WOTC Questions: I am a new HR employee and my company uses iRecruit. I am trying to understand if I can request access to our database through this site?
