Hiring and Onboarding During the Coronavirus Crisis

Over the past month the coronavirus national emergency has impacted our lives in a way that we have never seen before. Depending on your location, “Non-essential” businesses have been forced to close, or have their employees work from home, where possible, while essential businesses have ramped up work, and hiring. Social distancing, and orders not to congregate in groups of more than two have affected us all.

Reducing Turnover by Hiring STARS

Do you have a list of the top ten reasons STAR employees would want to work for you? Just one of the questions hourly worker hiring and retention expert Mel Kleiman addresses in this extract from a recent webinar that we did with HR.com.

Special Request from Indeed Regarding Inactive Job Posts

We have received the following request from Indeed.com: At this time, it is important that feeds sent to Indeed contain only those jobs for which employers are actively hiring. You can help by taking active steps to ensure that any jobs that are not currently open or for which applicants are not currently being considered are removed from your feeds immediately.

iRecruit Average Number of Employment Applications March 2020

Sales Associate Hiring
iRecruit’s customers have received an average of 120 new employment applications in the month of March. This is down significantly from February, which had an average of 158, and may be a result of the Coronavirus crisis that has impacted us all. The number of applications by customer typically varies based on the number of jobs posted.
