Sage Abra Suite Product Update

Sage Abra Suite Product Update dated April 8, 2013 is now available on the Sage Customer Portal.

This update only applies to Sage Abra Suite versions 9.0x and 9.1x with Payroll.
Customers who do not have the payroll module are not required to apply this update.

Included in this Update:
Form 941 Update – Line 5d (additional Medicare taxes) is now added to line 5e.
Note: Restoring of the data does not need to be done if the final quarter close has been run. Apply this update and from the Navigation Pane, select Payroll, Processes, Edit Quarter/Year-End Forms and select the Form 941 report. This will force a recalculation of the form.

To download your Sage Abra Suite Product Update:
1.    Visit the Sage Customer Portal.
2.    Enter your Logon Id (usually your email address) and Password (or sign up for a new portal logon).
3.    Select ‘Product Updates and Payroll Tax Updates’ on the home page
4.    Select the appropriate Product Update to download (either Product Update v9.07.66 for v9.0x or Product Update v9.11.31 for 9.1x.) To verify your current version of Sage Abra Suite, launch the product and the logon screen will display the current version. Once the version has been obtained, click the escape key to exit the program.
5.    Right click and ‘Save Target As’ to click open and extract the files to a location other than your Sage Abra Suite directory – preferably a temporary directory.
6.    Unzip the files into the new directory.
7.    Prior to installing the product update, back up your Sage Abra Suite live data folder using your external backup procedure. Make sure all users have exited Sage Abra Suite before beginning the backup.
8.    Follow the installation instructions in the Readme text file.
